We Are Open!
But, because Standish Town Hall is closed for (at least) two weeks, we have temporarily moved pantry operations to Standish Congregational Church, 25 Oak Hill Rd in Standish.
We will be distributing pre-packed boxes of food. Please do not come into the church; at regular pantry hours someone will instruct those in the parking lot to proceed to our “drive-thru” where a volunteer will place boxes in your car. It would be useful, but not required, if you could bring the empty boxes (both senior and banana) back to the pantry on your next visit, volunteers will collect them when they give you new boxes.
There will be less variety in our offerings (frozen meats may not be available, for instance), but we are working to make sure that any reduction in quantity is not significant. We cannot accommodate requests for specific food at this time. If you have an unusual dietary need or restriction, you may call us at 207-358-0359 and leave a brief message with your contact info and someone will get back to you; we will be limited in what we can do, but we will do what we can.
Follow us on Facebook for notifications. We will attempt to announce (here and on FB) any changes at least 48 hours in advance.

WHAT WE DO:
~ Every Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am, we offer a light breakfast and the opportunity to shop a limited supply of groceries as many times during the month as you wish.
~ Every Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, we serve individuals and families a delicious, hot dinner that is enjoyed in a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment. Diners may also shop a full range of groceries once month.
~ Senior Boxes— Each month, the Standish Food Pantry provides eligible aging adults with a free 30-pound box of food. Suggested pick-up for the Senior Boxes is the first Wednesday of the month.
• Kids’ Corner — Every Wednesday during the regular Food Pantry, we offer children school day snacks and healthy, easy-to-prepare food for weekends and school vacations when the school meals they may rely on are unavailable. This program is offered in partnership with Casco Federal Credit Union.
Our food comes in from a variety of sources. We partner with Hannaford, Wayside Food Programs, Good Shepherd Food Bank, local farmers, retailers, and others to pick up a large variety of products regularly.
